Growing Support for Congress in J&K is a Cause of Worry for BJP : Sawhney

11-09-2021: Former Minister J&K and senior Congress leader Yogesh Sawhney on Saturday spoke on the recent two-day visit of Rahul Gandhi to Jammu and Kashmir calling it “immensely successful” and said that the massive support received by the Congress leader during his visit has shocked the BJP leadership. He stated that the visit was met with an excellent response from the public as it reaffirmed hopes that the Congress party will relentlessly continue to fight for the betterment of Jammu Kashmir. BJP leaders are so paranoid because of the fact that they have started giving absurd statements to the media to discredit the leader.

One of the BJP leaders in a viral video on the internet didn’t know how to take names of the holy Mata Vaishno Devi, calling pindis as kundalliyas or pindliyas. We should remember that these are the same people who call themselves protectors of our Hindu faith, Sawhney added.

The former Minister added that such frustrations and absurd statements from BJP are coming because of fear of the growing support for the Congress party and the declining support for the BJP. They are confused and messing up names related to the holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi because of this political fear and that is deeply resentful and disrespectful. BJP leadership is often seen boasting off about their love for Hinduism and one of their party members hurts the sentiments of many ardent devotees. The growing success of the Congress party has left the BJP frustrated and paranoid, he added.

Further, speaking on the matter, Sawhney said that BJP leadership is unable to digest the applaud and praise the Congress party is receiving. Now that people are becoming more aware of the misguided policies of this government and their massive failures, they have become maniacally defensive. Congress parties’ efforts and policies have resonated more with the people in Jammu and Kashmir as they are more aligned with the goals and aspirations of the local people, unlike the Central Government which is ruling on its own whims and fancies.

Sawhney then appreciated and lauded the administration and involved agencies who contributed to making Rahul Gandhi’s visit a success. He thanked the administration, the media, and the party workers and staff on behalf of the Congress party for lending their support.
