Gulam Nabi Azad Called “Ghulam” of BJP by Congress Leader Pawan Khera

05-04-2023 : Congress leader Pawan Khera criticized former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Gulam Nabi Azad, calling him a “ghulam” (servant) of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after Azad’s remarks about the Congress party’s lack of influence among the masses. Khera accused Azad of betraying the trust of the Congress party and said that he was speaking against the party that had given him top posts. Azad had resigned from the Congress party due to differences with the leadership and formed his own political outfit called the Democratic Progressive Azad Party.

Azad recently praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but rubbished allegations that he worked closely with the BJP to destabilize Congress. In his book ‘Azaad: An Autobiography’, Azad wrote about his working relations with Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and others, and highlighted incidents, events, and Congress mismanagement. He emphasized that political legacy cannot go by genes and that the current Congress leadership has no influence on the people.
