Gulmarg Snow Driving Mishap: Social Media Influencer Among Two Booked for Reckless Driving

Jammu and Kashmir Police register FIR against two Srinagar residents for risky stunts on icy roads at the popular ski resort.

SRINAGAR, Dec 27: Jammu and Kashmir Police have booked two individuals, including a social media influencer, for allegedly performing dangerous driving stunts on snow at Gulmarg, the renowned ski resort in Baramulla district.

An FIR was filed at Police Station Gulmarg on Tuesday under Sections 281 (rash and negligent driving) and 125 (acts endangering life or personal safety) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The accused, identified as Imad ur Rehman Miya and Mohammad Munzarin Kullu, are both residents of Srinagar.

Police advised the duo to strictly follow traffic rules, especially during snowfall and on slippery roads, to ensure safety.

Imad ur Rehman Miya has a prior case registered under the Indian Forest Act in Budgam district. On October 5, he was booked for allegedly trespassing into forest land after removing a barricade and leading a convoy of Thar vehicles into the area. The incident gained widespread attention when he uploaded a 12-minute video of the stunts on social media, sparking intense debate online.
