Harsh Dev Singh Leaves Aam Aadmi Party to Revive Panthers Party in Jammu and Kashmir

Panthers Party to Provide Alternative Political Voice in Jammu and Kashmir, Says Harsh Dev Singh

Jammu, 16-02-2023  : Harsh Dev Singh, a former minister, and prominent leader, has announced that he will be leaving the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in order to revive the Panthers Party, a regional political party in Jammu and Kashmir. In a video statement released on Thursday, Singh stated that the decision to revive the party was made after extensive consultations with other party members and was in the best interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Singh emphasized that the Panthers Party would provide a strong, regional voice to represent the interests of the people, who need an alternative to the mainstream political parties that currently dominate the region. Singh, who previously held the position of chairman of AAP’s state coordination committee, is a well-known figure in the region and has served as a minister in the state government.

The revival of the Panthers Party, which was originally formed as a socialist and secular political party and has a long history of advocating for the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, is expected to have significant implications for the political landscape of the region, which has been in a state of flux since the revocation of its special status in August 2019 by the central government. Many in Jammu and Kashmir will be closely watching Singh’s efforts to revive the party and the impact it will have on the political future of the region.
