Has Congress’ victory in Karnataka given oxygen to the entire anti-Modi front, questions Kavinder?
History reveals Congress divided communities on religious basis
JAMMU, MAY 20: Kavinder Gupta, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister has said that BJP has never resorted to such divisive politics as has been done by the Congress party throughout its rule.
He stated this while responding to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement, “The southern state of Karnataka has opened lakhs of shops of love in the market of hatred”. Kavinder questioned Congress saying, “Has Congress’ victory in Karnataka given oxygen to the entire anti-Modi front..?
Addressing media persons here today, Kavinder said turning the pages of history reveals that Congress in its entire rule has thrived its dynastic politics by dividing communities on the basis of religion. In fact the BJP is fully determined to wipe off the divisive forces that have been promoting hatred and communal divide on the basis of religion, he asserted.
Kavinder Gupta said though BJP did not get the requisite number of seats to form its Govt in Karnataka yet it has not lost its strength which is evident from the votes obtained by its candidates. However, it must be borne in mind that sometimes it is necessary to step back for a big leap leading to unprecedented success, he asserted.
The senior BJP leader said that the people of India have understood that Congress is a bunch of opportunists who along with the like-minded opposition join together to lay claims of becoming the Prime Minister of this nation.
“People fully know that Congress has always followed Dynastic politics that has ultimately resulted in its debacle during the recent decades. Therefore its win in Karnataka is no indication of its revival or the BJP losing its vote bank. The reality is that BJP’s vote bank in Karnataka remains intact despite not getting the largest number of seats,” he said.
Kavinder said that BJP continues to have a bright future due to its people-centric policies and being devoid of dynastic politics. People continue to be with BJP and there should be no doubt about it that the party’s lotus will bloom across the nation in all times to come, he added.
