High-Security Raids Underway at Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu
Operations target terror networks allegedly being run from inside the prison housing hardcore criminals
Jammu, Nov 19: The Counter Intelligence Unit of Jammu and Kashmir Police carried out raids at the high-security Kot Bhalwal jail on Wednesday, officials said.
The central jail houses hardcore Pakistani and local terrorists, along with notorious criminals. Authorities said the raids are part of a broader operation to dismantle terror networks reportedly being operated from within the prison.
The Kot Bhalwal raids follow a series of crackdowns, including the recent exposure of a “white-collar” terror network led by a group of doctors and the car blast in Delhi’s Red Fort area on November 10. Officials said investigations are ongoing to identify links between these networks and activities inside the jail.
