Horticulture Dept holds farmers’ awareness camp at Banihal

RAMBAN, JUNE 04: Department of Horticulture today organized a farmers’ awareness camp, in village Doligam of zone Banihal. As many as 40   farmers participated in the camp using all Covid safety protocols.

The camp was attended by Horticulture Development Officer Zone Banihal,   Rajesh Gupta along with his field staff.

While talking to the farmers, the Horticulture Dev. Officer, informed them about Departmental schemes and gave a detailed account of the incentives being provided under these schemes including the Ultra High-Density scheme which shall positively change the socio-economic status of the farmers of the area.

He also emphasized upon the farmers to avail benefits being provided for establishing vermicompost units, Packhouse, Green House, Shade nets, Water Harvesting Tank, Deep bore well besides using machines like Tractors and Power tillers.

The farmers also highlighted their problem which was redressed on spot by the Horticulture Dev. Officer.

The farmers appreciated the departmental efforts in holding such awareness camps.
