HUDCO to Provide Up to Rs 25,000 Crore for Bihar Industrial Projects
Five year financing agreement will support industrial parks, infrastructure development and land acquisition across the state.
PATNA, Sep 3: Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has signed an agreement with the Bihar government to provide financial assistance of up to Rs 25,000 crore over five years for industrial infrastructure development.
Under the memorandum of understanding, the funding will support the development of industrial park projects across various districts of the state. The assistance will also cover land acquisition required for these projects.
The agreement is expected to strengthen Bihar’s industrial infrastructure and facilitate the timely availability of land for new developments.
The state government has been pursuing industrial park projects as part of efforts to expand its manufacturing base and attract fresh investment.
HUDCO’s proposed financial support could help accelerate infrastructure creation and improve the readiness of industrial sites for prospective businesses.
