His daughter Nayaab conveyed the somber news via Instagram, expressing profound sorrow over her father’s demise on February 26, 2024, following an extended period of illness.

Pankaj Udhas, celebrated for timeless classics like “Aur Ahista,” “Jeeye toh Jeeye Kaise,” and “Chitthi Aayi Hai,” leaves behind a legacy of mesmerizing musical compositions that have touched the hearts of millions worldwide. His exceptional talent garnered widespread recognition, culminating in the prestigious Padma Shri award bestowed upon him in 2006, a testament to his enduring contribution to Indian music.
