Bomb Disposal Squad Safely Neutralises Explosive Device at Narbal
SRINAGAR, Feb 18: Security forces on Wednesday detected and safely neutralised an improvised explosive device (IED) along the Srinagar–Baramulla highway in Jammu and Kashmir, preventing a potential security threat.
According to officials, personnel on patrol spotted a suspicious briefcase placed on the roadside near Narbal at around 7 am. The area was immediately secured, and vehicular movement on the busy stretch was temporarily halted as a precautionary measure.
A bomb disposal squad was rushed to the scene and carried out standard operating procedures to sanitise the surroundings. The explosive device was subsequently destroyed in a controlled operation without causing any casualties or damage to property.
Traffic movement was later restored after clearance from security teams.
