Illegal sawmill seized in Nowshera village

RAJOURI, JULY 13:  The Forest Department has seized an illegal sawmill in Dharat village of Tehsil, Nowshera.A team of officials of Kalal Forest block of Lamberi Forest Range raided the premises of the sawmill and seized one secondary sawmill (18” diameter) as per provisions of section 52 (1) of Indian Forest Act, 1927.

The said sawmill was running without valid permission from the competent authority. The timber lying on spot measuring 20.18 cubic feet was also seized from the spot.
