India Clinches Twin Titles at Ironman 70.3 Championship
Vidhi and Vaibhav Gupta complete grueling endurance race alongside father, Manish Gupta
India, Feb 25 : India celebrated a landmark moment in endurance sport as siblings Vidhi Gupta and Vaibhav Gupta successfully completed the prestigious Ironman 70.3 championship in Muscat. Adding to the significance of the achievement, the twins crossed the finish line together with their father, Manish Gupta, making it a rare and inspiring family milestone.
The event, staged across Muscat’s challenging and scenic course, is widely regarded as one of the toughest tests of stamina and mental strength in the region. It attracts elite triathletes from around the world, pushing participants through a demanding combination of swimming, cycling and long-distance running.
With their finish, the Guptas joined a select group of Indian athletes who have conquered the globally recognised Half Ironman format on international soil. Vidhi and Vaibhav are among the youngest twin siblings from the country to complete the race, while their shared accomplishment with their father highlighted an extraordinary example of cross-generational dedication, discipline and sporting spirit.
