Dubai, Sep 14: India delivered a commanding all-round performance to defeat Pakistan by seven wickets in their Asia Cup 2025 encounter at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Opting to bowl first, India’s disciplined attack restricted Pakistan to 127 for nine in 20 overs. Saim Farhan top-scored with 40 off 44 balls, while Shaheen Afridi’s late cameo of 33 from 16 balls provided some resistance. However, India’s spinners stole the show — Kuldeep Yadav starred with 3 for 18 and Axar Patel chipped in with 2 for 18, stifling Pakistan’s batting lineup.
