New Delhi, 13 November (HC). Two BSF personnel were killed and four civilians killed in Pakistan firing on the Line of Control (LoC) of Jammu and Kashmir. On this, the Indian Army has given a befitting reply to the Pakistani Army on Friday. India has targeted the Pakistani army bases and the launching pads of terrorists in Pakistan- occupied Kashmir (PoK )’s Lepa Valley and Neelam Valley. A large number of terrorists sitting ready for infiltration are reported to have been killed and many launching pads destroyed. Enemy casualties can go up to 3 digits. In Pakistan’s retaliation, two bunkers and 3 outposts of Pakistan have been destroyed and at least 10 soldiers have been killedThe slain Pakistani Army soldiers also include the commandos of 2-3 Pakistani Army Special Services Group ( SSG ).

In fact, this morning Pakistani soldiers sitting at Hajipir Pass across the LoC in front of Uri sector fired cannon and mortar shells at Indian targets. About 20 minutes after the firing started in Uri, the Gurez sector along the LoC in Bandipora district also started firing in Pakistan. Meanwhile, in Kupwara district, the forward troops adjacent to the LoC, in violation of the cease-fire, suddenly opened fire with Indian posts targeting the residential areas. A large number of armed Pakistani militants tried to infiltrate this morning from across the LoC in the Keran sector of Kupwara. In order to give cover fire to these terrorists, heavy firing was carried out in violation of the ceasefire from across the border.

Pakistan targeted the civilian population, fired mortar shells, and fired heavily with large weapons. The people of the border areas are in panic due to shelling from both sides from Uri to Gurez sector. Many moved to safer places to avoid shelling. Due to intense shelling in many sectors from both sides, people in the border areas are in panic. Apart from this, there is also news of tremendous fire from Pakistan in Tangdhar of Jammu and Kashmir. Here people are being forced to hide in the bunker and people are being taken to a safe place from Tangdhar. Similarly, people have fled to the bunkers in the Gurez sector adjoining the LoC in Bandipora district. The firing range can increase to reach the main market of Tangdhar, hence the markets here have been closed.

All field commanders posted on the LoC were ordered by the Indian Army to give a befitting reply to the Pakistani Army. Indian soldiers also targeted the Pakistani targets giving a befitting reply to this shelling. The Indian Army pushed back from the LoC, thwarting the infiltration of heavily armed militants in the Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir. In retaliation, the Indian Army has targeted the Lapa Valley of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and the launching pads of Neelam Valley on the Line of Control (LoC) of Jammu and Kashmir. Here a large number of terrorists sitting ready to infiltrate and many launching pads have been destroyed. Markets in PoK with active areas of LoC have been closed. To save lives, citizens have taken shelter in bunkers, causing people to panic.

Since the beginning of this year, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire more than 3,200 times, killing 24 civilians and injuring more than 100. (HS)
