Out of the 1,390 players who had initially registered, the league finalised a trimmed list comprising 240 Indian players and 110 overseas cricketers. The auction pool includes 224 uncapped Indian players and 14 uncapped overseas players.
A total of 77 slots are available across the 10 franchises, including 31 overseas slots. Among Indian players, Venkatesh Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi are the only two to have set the highest base price of ₹2 crore.
Overall, 40 players feature in the ₹2 crore bracket, while nine players have a base price of ₹1.5 crore, four at ₹1.25 crore, and 17 at ₹1 crore. Additionally, 42 players are listed at ₹75 lakh, four at ₹50 lakh, seven at ₹40 lakh, and the largest group of 227 players have a reserve price of ₹30 lakh.
South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock has been added to the auction list following a franchise request. He enters the auction with a base price of ₹1 crore, significantly lower than his previous ₹2 crore tag, and is expected to attract strong interest following his recent international performances.
Australian all-rounder Cameron Green, registered as a batter, is also among the marquee names, with franchises keen on securing a powerful all-round option. George Linde of South Africa and Sri Lanka’s Dunith Wellalage were also included later in the auction roster.
The IPL 2026 auction is expected to witness intense bidding as franchises look to strengthen their squads ahead of the upcoming season.
