Ist installment of Awas plus credited into accounts of 48 beneficiaries in Rajouri

RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 24: On the direction of Commissioner Secretary RDD and Panchayati Raj, Mandeep Kaur and District Development Commissioner Vikas Kundal, the first installment under Awas plus was today credited into the accounts of 48 beneficiaries in Rajouri.

To cover the beneficiaries left out under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a special survey   Awas Plus was carried out in the district wherein 42002 eligible people were identified. The Department has also registered 546 beneficiaries so far under the scheme and 121 assets have been geo-tagged.

The funds were sanctioned by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Kumar.  Block Development Officer Rajouri, Chander Kant Bhagat and officials of the Rural Development Department were also present on the occasion.

 The ADDC asked the concerned to monitor the construction of the houses for their completion within the set deadline so that necessary benefits are provided to the general public.

He also asked RDD to ensure timely payment of next installment to the beneficiaries under the scheme so that they don’t face any inconveniences.
