J&K witnessing new era of development; post Art 370 abrogation: Kavinder

Kick-starts development work of bridges in Trikuta Nagar worth Rs 1.36 cr

JAMMU, JUN 16: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta started the development work of two bridges on both sides of Canal Road at Trikuta Nagar here today. Vinay Gupta, President BJP Jammu District and Corporator Ward No: 54, Neeraj Lucky Puri were also present on the occasion of commencement of the work on this development project which is estimated to be completed at a cost of Rs. 1.36 crore.   

While addressing the gathering on the occasion Kavinder Gupta said that Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory is witnessing a new era of development post Article 370 abrogation to which massive development works presently going on in this region bear testimony. He said that PM Modi-led government has placed overall development on top priority for which funds are no constraint, especially for Jammu and Kashmir which has borne the brunt of terrorism onslaught for over three decades.

While highlighting the achievements of the BJP government, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken utmost care of the common people, especially those living in far-flung areas through the #sevasushasanaurgareebkalyan programme. He said that the success of the BJP Govt led by PM Modi can be well gauged from the unprecedented achievements made by the nation during the eight years of governance. He said that India is today a force to reckon with at the international level for which credit goes to PM Modi and the people of this nation who have reposed trust and faith in him.

Meanwhile, the former Dy Chief Minister also appreciated Corporator Neeraj Lucky Puri for taking interest in addressing civic issues of the general public. He said that Puri is making relentless efforts 24X7 to make his Ward a model ward for which he deserves full kudos. He said that he is quite confident that the Corporator of the Ward will leave no stone unturned in addressing the concerns and issues of the people of the Ward.
