Jai Bharat Satyagrah March Urges Public to Question BJP’s Delayed Restoration of Statehood and Early Elections in J&K
12-04-2023 : The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) organized a Jai Bharat Satyagrah March on April 12, which was led by several party leaders, including the working president of JKPCC, Raman Bhalla, District Incharge Yogesh Sawhney, chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, and other prominent members. The march started from Deva Palace, Preet Nagar, and ended at Shiva Ji Chowk, Guru Nanak Nagar Sector 6, 7, 11, 12, 2, 1 of Jammu South. It was organized by Block-10 and Block-12, under the leadership of block president Surinder Singh Dutt and Mandeep Singh Sonu.
During the gathering, Raman Bhalla addressed the public and criticized the current government’s policies, accusing them of putting democracy and the constitution in danger for their political gains. He further added that Satyagraha is the only way to fight against the divisive and conspiratorial elements sitting in power. He also mentioned that a conspiracy was hatched to end Rahul Gandhi’s membership of the Parliament, so that issues such as inflation, falling economy of the country, bank scams, and Prime Minister’s relationship with Adani should not gain force. However, he reassured the public that they will always remain aware of this matter.
Ravinder Sharma highlighted the issue of unemployment, which has reached an all-time high in Jammu and Kashmir and the country in the last nine years. He urged the public to question the BJP leadership when they come for votes as to why, despite giving them a huge mandate from the Jammu region, they were neglected on all fronts.
Yogesh Sawhney criticized BJP’s divisive agenda of vote bank politics during elections and accused them of destroying Jammu and Kashmir and crushing the rights of the people. He further added that statehood and democracy are their rights, but the BJP is delaying the restoration of statehood and early elections since it is ruling J-K by proxy. He accused the BJP of carrying out distorted delimitation to achieve its political motives through backdoors.
Overall, the Jai Bharat Satyagrah March was organized to raise awareness about the current political situation and to urge the public to take action against the government’s policies, which are affecting their rights and interests.
