Jammu and Kashmir BJP Mahila Morcha Celebrates National Handloom Day in SD Memorial School
Jammu, 07-08-2023 : Jammu and Kashmir Bhartiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha Celebrated National Handloom Day in SD Memorial School, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
The Programme commenced with the Fancy Dress Competition and all the participants spoke on the Importance of Handloom and Artisans who made effort and have been transferring skill of weaving to future generations.
Smt Sanjita Dogra ji, President Mahila Morcha addresses the students and spoke on “The History and Significance of Indian Handloom” and of supporting our local weavers and artisans. She appealed to the students and the staff of the school to promote our Handloom sector by using our traditional Handloom products. She also briefed the schemes undertaken by the government to promote Handloom in the Union Territory.
Handloom and Handicraft has become an integral part of our society, touching each and every household of the Union Territory, she said.
Smt Sanjita Dogra ji felicitated all the participants by giving them Certificate of Appreciation.
The others present there in the program are Smt Reema Padha, Smt Anita Gandotra, Smt Suman Raina, Smt Poonam Gupta, Smt Arti Koul, Smt Usha Rajput and Smt Veena Parmar.
