Jammu and Kashmir Government Assigns 53 JKAS Officers to Revenue and Rural Development Departments

12-06-2023 : The Government has made appointments for 53 junior scale probationers from the 2023 batch of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) in the Revenue and Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Departments. A General Administration Department (GAD) order has been issued, recalling these probationers from their training at J&K IMPA&RD and placing their services at the disposal of the respective departments for further posting.

Out of the 53 officers, 22 have been assigned to the Revenue Department, while 31 have been allocated to the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department. The list of officers posted in the Revenue Department includes names such as Megha Gupta, Shreya Sharma, Afsha Afren, Aana Jamwal, Jaazia Kazmi, Nivranshu Hans, Ratandeep Sharma, Saqib Rashid Dar, Predhyum Atri, Mahrukh Fatima, Arushi Sabharwal, Umar Jahanzeb, Pushpal Saroop, Nittin Singh, Abhimanyu Kalsotra, Sagar Vishav, Mehak Mahajan, Athira, Tejinder Sharma, Manan Bhat, Harvir Singh, and Atif Arbab Khateeb.

In the Rural Development Department (RDD), the posted officers include Sonali Arora, Saima Ahad, Tafheem Firdous, Neha Choudhary, Bhushan Kumar Singh, Aparajita Aryan, Hitesh Kumar Loona, Akhil Bhau, Ghulam Maya Din, Peerzada Rasiq Hamid Shah, Rasika Sikka, Sheikh Wajad Ahmed Azad, Anmol, Nadia Shameem, Dinesh Singh, Naveel Hamdani, Nidhi Kralia, Shallu Kumari, Mehak Chowdhary, Reyaz Ahmad Rather, Binal Ul Showkat, Farman Ul Din, Nazir Ahmad Bijran, Amjed Mehmood, Asaf Ali, Lateef Ahmad Mantoo, Abhilove Mahajan, Asgar Hussain, Kavita Bindhral, Kunal Singh, and Chetan Sharma.

The GAD order emphasizes that the Administrative Departments should promptly post these officers while adhering to the guidelines outlined in the transfer policy as per Government order number 861-GAD of 2010 dated July 28, 2010, and subsequent amendments. It is further stated that these officers should be posted outside their home districts, except for those appointed to the JKAS based on being residents of a backward area or an area adjoining the Line of Actual Control. The latter category of officers should be posted in their respective areas in accordance with the J&K Reservation Act, 2004.
