Jammu Chamber hails the Central Govt. for its recent announcement to include Retail and Wholesale Trades as MSMEs

03-07-2021: An urgent meeting was held at the chamber house under the presidentship of Sh. Arun Gupta, along with the office bearers in which Arun Gupta hails the recent announcement made by the Minister of MSMEs and Road Transport and highways Shri Nitin Gadkari, includes Retail and Whole Sale Traders as MSMEs in revised guidelines under the dynamic leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji.

It is pertinent to mention here that the long pending demand of the Traders fraternity and especially the announcement made by the Central Government in this time of Pandemic crises has its importance and means a lot for our trader’s fraternity. The Revised guidelines will benefit 2.5 crores Retail and Wholesale Traders.

Before this announcement, the definition of MSMEs includes manufacturing and service enterprise, whereas retail and wholesale trade was not classified under the scheme; now, after the inclusion of retailers and wholesale traders under the MSMEs can avail the benefits of priority sector lending under RBI guidelines. Chamber President appeals to the Traders fraternity to get register with the MSMEs to avail the benefits of various schemes at large.
