Jammu-Srinagar Highway Sees Uninterrupted Flow as Weather Improves

JAMMU, Jan 12: Vehicular movement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remained smooth on Monday, officials said, following an improvement in weather conditions. Both directions witnessed steady traffic, with no reports of congestion or delays, allowing uninterrupted transit for passenger vehicles and essential supply trucks. Road maintenance teams continued routine monitoring to ensure safe passage amid prevailing winter conditions.

Mughal Road Open, Caution Advised Due to Frost

Meanwhile, the Mughal Road connecting south Kashmir with the Pir Panjal region remained open, but traffic moved slowly in several stretches due to frost, particularly during the morning hours. Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution while using the route, especially in higher altitudes where slippery conditions persist.

Officials confirmed that both highways are being closely monitored to maintain smooth and safe traffic flow, despite fluctuating winter weather.
