JEE Advanced 2026 Results Declared: Shubham Kumar Clinches AIR 1, Arohi Deshpande Emerges as Women’s Topper
56,880 Candidates Qualify Engineering Entrance Test; Arohi Deshpande Emerges as Highest-Ranked Female Aspirant
New Delhi, June 1: The JEE Advanced 2026 results were officially declared on Monday, bringing an end to the intense wait for engineering aspirants across the country. Subham Kumar from the IIT Delhi zone emerged as the national topper, securing the first position in the Common Rank List with an impressive score of 330 out of 360 marks.
The IIT Delhi zone showcased exceptional performance in this year’s examination, with all three top positions being claimed by candidates from the region. Kabir Chhillar secured the second rank after scoring 329 marks, while Jatin Chahar finished third with 319 marks, highlighting the zone’s remarkable academic strength.
Among female candidates, Arohi Deshpande delivered an outstanding performance to become the highest-ranked woman candidate in the examination. She scored 280 marks and secured the 77th position in the Common Rank List, earning recognition for her achievement among thousands of aspirants nationwide.
The prestigious entrance examination was conducted on May 17, with a total of 1,87,389 candidates registering for the test. Out of these, 1,79,694 candidates appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Following the evaluation process, 56,880 candidates successfully cleared the examination and became eligible for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology and other participating institutions.
The results also reflected growing participation by women candidates. Of the total successful candidates, 10,107 were female aspirants, marking a significant contribution to the overall qualified pool.
Congratulating the successful candidates, Prof. Kamal Kishore Pant, Director of IIT Roorkee, praised their hard work and commitment. He described qualifying JEE Advanced as a reflection of dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence. He further encouraged all eligible candidates to actively participate in the upcoming Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2026 counselling and admission process.
He clarified that while qualified candidates can register for counselling regardless of their Class XII scores, final admission will depend on meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria and other conditions outlined in the official information brochure.
Candidates can access their scorecards through the official portal by entering their roll number, date of birth, and registered mobile number. The scorecard provides comprehensive details, including overall rank, category rank, subject-wise performance, aggregate marks, qualification status, and cutoff information.
With the declaration of results, attention now shifts to the counselling and seat-allocation phase, where thousands of successful candidates will compete for seats in India’s premier engineering institutions.
