J&K Cadre Retired AIS Officers Mourn Passing of G.M. Thakur

Retired IAS officer remembered for dedicated public service and humane approach

Srinagar, Jan 12: Retired officers of the All India Services (AIS) from the Jammu and Kashmir cadre have expressed deep grief over the demise of their former colleague, retired IAS officer G.M. Thakur of Lasjan, Kashmir.

In a condolence message, the retired officers remembered Thakur for his distinguished service to the public during his long career as a senior civil servant. They described him as a highly cultured, compassionate and affable colleague who earned respect across departments for his integrity and dedication.

The officers conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for magfirat and Jannat-ul-Firdous for the departed soul.
