J&K Finance Secretary directs all departments to utilize unspent funds: Had 50% funds under all schemes released?
Jammu, September 24 : Since Santosh D. Vaidya has taken over the reins of Finance Department, ahs streamlined the system of funds & other finance related issues.
In a recent meeting he issued countless directions to all departments for proper utilization of funds & other related issues & especially he noticed that several departments are implementing CSS/PMDP projects have unspent funds with them which needed to be utilized expeditiously so that they are able to claim fresh installments of funds from GOI.
He further directed departments may expedite submission of UC’s under CSS, PMDP so that each department gets the next instalment of funds from GOI by October, 2023.
He also directed that all departments may expedite the physical/financial progress of PMDP projects so that the schemes are completed in time and burden on the UT resources is not increased.
It is also to be seen & noticed by Govt, as September, 2023 with 2nd quarter of financial year is at end & had 50% funds in all the schemes to all the departments released, so that targets can be achieved & contractors/purchases may not suffer due to shortage of funds?
