J&K Government Extends Registration Validity for Migrants and Displaced Persons Until 2025

Jammu, 16-10-2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has announced an extension of the validity period for the registration of bona fide migrants and Displaced Persons (DPs) for the issuance of Domicile Certificates, extending the deadline to May 15, 2025.

This extension follows the original order issued under Government Order Number 52-JK (DMRRR) of 2020, which has been further prolonged through a series of subsequent orders. The provision allows eligible individuals to register as migrants or Displaced Persons, enabling them to acquire domicile certificates that are essential for accessing various rights and benefits in the Union Territory.

The extension reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that all qualified individuals have adequate time to complete the registration process, thereby safeguarding their legal status and entitlements.
