J&K Government Regularises and Promotes Accounts Officers
Decision taken on recommendations of DPC and J&K Public Service Commission
J&K, Dec 02 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved the regularisation of 13 Incharge Chief Accounts Officers (CAOs) and the promotion of 23 Junior Scale Accounts Officers to the post of Chief Accounts Officer.
The decision was taken following the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) and the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC).
According to an official order issued on January 2, the move aims to streamline administrative functioning and strengthen the accounts cadre in the Union Territory. The regularisation and promotions will take effect as per the terms and conditions laid down in the government order.
Officials said the step is part of ongoing efforts to fill key administrative positions and ensure smoother financial management across departments.
