J&K Govt Announces New Working Hours for Medical & Dental Colleges Amid Winter Schedule
Medical and Dental Colleges in J&K to Operate Monday to Saturday, 10 AM - 4:30 PM
Jammu, Dec 21: In a significant administrative move, the government has issued a revised order regarding working days and duty timings for Government Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges across Jammu and Kashmir.
As per an official notification issued by Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary to the Government, Health and Medical Education Department, the changes come as a partial modification to Government Order No. 272-JK (HME) of 2024, dated April 3, 2024. The latest order stipulates that, from December 1 to February 28/29, the working days and duty timings for these institutions will be Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.
This revision aims to streamline the operational schedules, particularly during the winter months when academic and clinical activities are often impacted by weather conditions. The move is expected to enhance the efficiency of healthcare services and ensure the smooth functioning of both medical and dental colleges in the region.
The Health and Medical Education Department emphasized the importance of adhering to the revised schedule, ensuring better coordination and continuity in academic and administrative activities.
