J&K High Court Grants Judicial Magistrate Powers to Munsiff Sogam
Shri Mudasir Yousuf empowered under Section 9(3) of BNSS 2023 to exercise Judicial Magistrate powers.
Srinagar, Sep 10: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has conferred judicial magistrate powers on Shri Mudasir Yousuf, currently serving as Munsiff Sogam.
As per an official order issued by the Registrar General’s office in Srinagar, Yousuf has been vested with the authority of Judicial Magistrate First Class under Section 9(3) of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
The notification clarifies that these powers are to be exercised within his designated jurisdiction, effective from the date he assumed charge as Munsiff Sogam.
Issued under No. 1391 of 2025/RG and signed by Registrar General (Officiating) M.K. Sharma, the order officially came into effect on September 8.
