J&K Mining Department Reshuffles Administration, Transfers Eight Officers

Government issues fresh posting orders to streamline operations and strengthen departmental functioning

JAMMU, June 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has carried out a fresh administrative reshuffle in the Mining Department, ordering the transfer and posting of eight officers with immediate effect.

The move is aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and ensuring the smooth functioning of departmental operations across various regions of the Union Territory.

According to an official order, the transfers have been effected as part of routine administrative measures designed to optimize manpower deployment and improve coordination within the department. The affected officers have been directed to assume their new assignments without delay.

Officials said the reorganization is intended to strengthen field level supervision, facilitate effective implementation of mining-related regulations and improve overall governance in the sector.

The Mining Department plays a key role in regulating mineral extraction activities, monitoring compliance with environmental norms and ensuring sustainable utilization of natural resources across Jammu and Kashmir.
