J&K Police Honours 17 Officers for Meritorious Service

Three Inspector Generals among those honoured for distinguished service and professional excellence.

SRINAGAR, Jan 25: Seventeen officers and personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, including three Inspector Generals of Police, have been awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service in recognition of their sustained dedication and exemplary performance.

Those honoured at the senior level include Inspector Generals Mohd Suleman Choudhary, Sujit Kumar and Vivek Gupta.

The list of awardees also features Deputy Superintendents of Police Himat Singh, Champa Devi Sharma, Khushwant Singh and Gurmeet Singh, along with Inspectors Anil Sharma, Reyaz Ahmad Langoo, Sardar Singh, Neeraj Kumar Koul and Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat.

Other recipients include Assistant Sub-Inspectors Sham Lal and Balwinder Singh Bali, Head Constable Gopal Singh, and Constables Tawheed Ahmad Thoker and Shubh Kumar.

The medals were conferred in appreciation of the recipients’ professionalism, commitment to duty and significant contribution to policing and public service across Jammu and Kashmir.
