JK Premiere League Kick-Starts at Showkat Ali Stadium Khawaja Bagh Baramulla

 BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 02: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr. G N Itoo today kick-started JK Premier League at Showkat Ali Stadium Khawaja Bagh, here.

The 15 days long tournament is being organized by District Youth Services and Sports Council in collaboration with the district administration during which several sports events viz Football, Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Hockey shall be organized, and top-performing teams in each event shall be selected to play at JK level.

On the occasion, DC termed the sports as a potential tool for overall personality development. He said Baramulla is endowed with enormous sports potential and appropriate platforms are required to channelize it in a positive direction.

While complimenting the participants, DC said that every possible assistance shall be provided for organizing more such events. He underlined the need to enthuse and popularize sports activities at different levels so that more and more youth are involved in these activities.

Among others, Principal Government Degree College Boys, President MCB, DYSSO, and other concerned were present on the occasion.
