JKPCC Chief Slams BJP for Failing to Address Youth Unemployment, Cong will win ULB, all LS seats
INDIA Alliance Predicts Sweeping Victories in Upcoming J&K Elections
11-09-2023 : A massive Youth Congress rally took place today, organized to extend a warm welcome to the Indian Youth Congress chief, B V Srinivas, and the newly elected PYC president, Aakash Bharat. During the event, the JKPCC chief strongly criticized the BJP, attributing significant damage to the youth during its nine-year rule. He emphasized that the educated youth, in particular, find themselves in a state of frustration and neglect, with the scarcity of employment opportunities reaching an alarming level in Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP’s failure to provide jobs has left the youth worried about aging out of eligibility.
In the backdrop of growing resentment against the BJP and the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory administration, Wani accused the BJP of being afraid of defeat and deliberately delaying Assembly elections under various pretexts. He confidently declared that the Congress (INDIA alliance) would secure victories in all six Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh UTs in the upcoming year. Furthermore, he predicted a substantial win for the INDIA alliance in the forthcoming Local Bodies and Panchayat elections in the region, marking a significant shift in the political landscape.
Wani asserted that the INDIA alliance was poised to emerge as the winner on a national scale, as people across the country were growing disillusioned with the BJP’s hollow promises and false claims. He characterized the BJP as anti-poor, anti-youth, and anti-farmer, asserting that every section of society had been let down by the party’s inability to deliver tangible results. The BJP’s contributions were limited to introducing Smart Meters, imposing Property Taxes, and setting up Toll Plazas, placing an undue burden on economically disadvantaged citizens who struggled to pay exorbitant electricity bills and heavy taxes.
IYC president, B V Srinivas, contended that the BJP was fearful of the INDIA alliance and had embarked on a campaign to rename India as Bharat, a move he perceived as a diversionary tactic. He argued that there was no substantial difference between the two names. Previously, the BJP had launched initiatives such as Make in India and Skill India, but now they were introducing the concept of ‘Bharat’ instead of ‘India’ after Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra.’ This, according to Srinivas, signified the BJP’s defensive stance. He also criticized the BJP for merely altering place names and adopting campaigns initiated by the Congress Party without any meaningful progress on the ground.
Srinivas expressed optimism about the new PYC team under Aakash Bharat’s leadership, anticipating their dedicated efforts and renewed energy in strengthening the Congress in Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that they would collaboratively devise strategies to ensure the party’s success in upcoming ULB and other elections in the region.
Earlier, B V Srinivas, accompanied by the newly elected PYC president, Aakash Bharat, received a warm reception from Youth Congress activists at Jammu airport. They were adorned with garlands and led in a rally to the Party headquarters on Residency Road. At the party office, Srinivas raised the party flag, and Aakash Bharat was administered the oath of office in the presence of JKPCC chief Vikar Rasool Wani and senior leaders Raman Bhalla, Yogesh Sawhney, Ravinder Sharma, among others.
Srinivas encouraged Youth Congress activists to launch the “Youth Jodo, Booth Jodo” campaign vigorously in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that the Congress was the only viable choice for the people who had grown tired of the BJP’s divisive politics.
