Judicial Magistrate Kangan convicts four persons under FSSA-2006

GANDERBAL, APRIL 09: In a significant Judgment, Judicial Magistrate Kangan, Kartar Singh today convicted four persons including Nominee of  M/S Asian Lakes Health & Foods Limited, Ludhiana with a fine of Rs 6000 and imprisonment till rising of the Court under section 59 of  Food Safety & Standards Act (FS&SA) -2006  in case of Food Sample of carbonated water, which was declared unsafe by Central Food Laboratory Kolkata.

Meanwhile, the complaint was filed by Food Safety Officer Kangan, Fayaz Ahmed Bhat on 2 April 2014 and also represented the department in the Court at Kangan in the instant case.
