JAMMU, Sept 21: The Union Government has officially appointed Justice Tashi Rabstan as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This decision follows the Supreme Court Collegium’s recent reconsideration of its earlier recommendations, which ultimately led to the endorsement of Justice Rabstan’s appointment.
Justice Tashi Rabstan has been serving as the senior-most Puisne Judge of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh since his appointment on March 8, 2013. With an extensive legal background and years of experience on the bench, he is well-regarded within the judicial community. He is set to retire on April 9, 2025, allowing him the opportunity to make significant contributions to the judiciary during his tenure as Chief Justice.
