The festival of Karvachauth is celebrated with great pomp throughout the country. Suhagan women fast for the long life of their husband on this day and decorate themselves and open the fast only after seeing the moon in the evening. There is special enthusiasm and gaiety about this day. There is a lot of enthusiasm in the Bollywood films about this festival and some very famous songs are also there. The song ‘Hai Meri Sansho Mein Mere Piya’ from the 1993 military film Sainikar Bharati directed Sainik is still very much liked among the audience. Starring Akshay Kumar and Ashwini Bhave, the song in the film is shot on Karva Chauth.
Ghar aaja pardeshi (Dilwale Dulhania will be taken):
