Kathua Police Arrest Man Absconding for 10 Years in Rash Driving Case
Kathua Police nab Punjab resident Jagraj Singh a decade after he absconded in a 2015 rash driving and injury case.
JAMMU, Dec 11: Police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district arrested a man who had been absconding for 10 years in a rash driving case.
The accused, Jagraj Singh, a resident of Gurdaspur district in Punjab, had been wanted in a case registered under Sections 279 (rash driving) and 337 (causing injuries) of the Indian Penal Code at Hiranagar Police Station.
According to officials, Singh had been evading arrest since 2015. After sustained efforts, Kathua Police successfully traced and apprehended him on Thursday, bringing the long-pending case to a close.
