Kavinder joins people to listen to PM’s ‘Man Ki Baat’
Appeals Union Govt to implement centrally sponsored schemes in Cantonment area
JAMMU, AUG 28: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta has appealed to the Govt to facilitate the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes in the Cantonment area of Jammu city.
He made this appeal after participating in a programme organized to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ edition in Cantonment area here today followed by taking stock of people’s problems in the area. Vinay Gupta, BJP District President; Bharat Bhushan, BJP Satwari Mandal President, and Vice Chairman Cantonment; Jasmeet Kaur Pandey, ex Corporator Cantonment; Sanjeev Gupta and Ashok Chowdhary accompanied the former deputy chief minister. A large number of local residents had gathered on the occasion to listen to their favourite Prime Minister.
Kavinder Gupta, while addressing the locals after listening to ‘Man Ki Baat’, said that PM Modi deserves full appreciation for establishing direct contact with the common people of this nation through the most simple and affordable medium of radio. He said that PM’s ‘Man Ki Baat’ is not a mere lecture but an opportunity to share his vision of making India a World Guru. Moreover, he provides simplest solutions to the people’s issues after seeking their issues and suggestions prior to every ‘Man Ki Baat’. He also highlighted the achievements of the Govt since Modi became the Prime Minister of the World’s largest Democracy.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta also conducted a tour of Ward No: 3 Cantonment Area and Govind Pura adjoining the Jammu Airport where he took stock of the problems being faced by the people of the area.
During his interaction with the locals, they apprised Kavinder Gupta about their multiple problems including the non-implementation of centrally sponsored schemes due to the fact that the area falls in the Cantonment Zone. They said that despite the Central Govt led by PM Modi having rolled out multiple schemes for the benefit of each and every section of the society, their residence in the cantonment has become an obstacle so far as the availing of the benefits of such schemes is concerned. They appealed to him to find out a genuine solution to this significant issue so that they do not stand deprived of the benefit of centrally sponsored schemes.
The former Dy Chief Minister, after giving a patient hearing to the people of the area, assured to take up all their grievances with the concerned authorities and get these addressed as soon as possible. He appealed to the Central Government to take note of people’s issues as a substantial number of people are residing in the area. He asked the Union Government to take adequate steps in mitigating their problems especially by implementing all the centrally sponsored schemes meant for the welfare of people in the whole cantonment zone so that these people are not deprived of their genuine rights.
