A total of 18,741 police personnel, including senior officers and civil police staff, will be deployed throughout the festival season at the world-renowned Lord Ayyappa Temple in Sabarimala.
Officials said a six-phase security plan has been finalised, with operations divided across the Nilakkal, Pampa, and Sannidhanam zones to ensure smooth crowd management and safety.
To strengthen surveillance, drone monitoring will be carried out in all three zones. Additionally, bike and mobile patrols will be intensified to curb traffic violations and prevent accidents as the pilgrim rush peaks.
