L-G VK Saxena hosts ‘At Home’ reception on 80th Independence Day
Leh, August 15: Lieutenant Governor, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, today hosted the customary ‘At Home’ reception at Lok Niwas, Leh, to mark the 80th Independence Day.
The ‘At Home’ reception is a longstanding tradition that provides an opportunity to bring together people from different walks of life and celebrate the spirit of unity, inclusiveness and shared responsibility that lies at the heart of the nation’s Independence Day celebrations.
The reception brought together a diverse cross-section of Ladakh, including representatives of religious, political and social institutions, prominent citizens, UT State Award winners, entrepreneurs, sportspersons, academicians, senior civil and police officers, and officers of the Armed Forces and CAPFs.
Extending his warm Independence Day greetings, the Lieutenant Governor interacted with the guests and acknowledged their valuable contributions to public service, community welfare, nation-building and the development of Ladakh.
