Law Ministry to Host Tech-Focused Legal Aid Workshop in Jammu and Kashmir
J&K to Host DISHA Workshop to Strengthen Access to Justice
New Delhi, Feb 16: The Union Law Ministry will hold a regional workshop in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, focusing on enhancing access to justice through technology enabled legal services. The initiative aims to bring together key stakeholders for informed discussions on improving legal outreach in the Union Territory.
The event will spotlight the central scheme DISHA (Designing Innovative Solutions for Holistic Access to Justice), designed to promote legal literacy and streamline access to justice across India. A dedicated session, “DISHA Yojana ke Aayaam: Sugam evam Sulabh Nyaya tak Pahuch”, will highlight community outreach programs, digital awareness campaigns, and partnerships with educational institutions and civil society organizations.
Another segment, “DISHA in J&K: Ek Jhalak”, will showcase the scheme’s local initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir, illustrating efforts to improve legal knowledge, provide support services, and expand justice delivery through digital platforms.
The workshop reflects the ministry’s commitment to integrating technology into legal aid, making justice more accessible and efficient for citizens in the region.
