Leopard Attacks CRPF Camp in South Kashmir, Jawan Injured

Leopard strays into CRPF camp in Anantnag’s Verinag area, attacks jawan during morning hours

Srinagar, Dec 24: A CRPF jawan sustained injuries after being attacked by a leopard that strayed into a paramilitary camp in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday, officials said.

The incident occurred at the CRPF camp in the Kapran area of Verinag when the leopard entered the premises while personnel were having breakfast in the mess. The animal attacked one jawan before fleeing into the adjoining forest area.

The injured personnel was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Forest and security officials have been alerted following the incident.
