LG Manoj Sinha appreciates District Administration Anantnag
Anantnag, October 16: LG Manoj Sinha today, chaired a meeting to review the progress of development projects, implementation of CSS & UT Sector schemes & saturation of welfare schemes in Dist Anantnag.
He said that District Administration has done a remarkable work in ensuring efficiency, transparency & reliability of public services.
He added that unique initiative of Distt Administration in ‘Main Bhi Kisan’ will lead to greater youth participation in developing agriculture & allied sector.
He directed other districts to replicate this initiative to maximise the benefits of HADP and make a qualitative difference in this sector.
He further directed the Dist Admin to be well prepared for winter season and ensure that the power and road infrastructure is well maintained and suitable for traffic at all times.
LG asked that measures of essential items, increased contingency plan for vulnerable areas to be implemented.
He said that success of ‘Poshan Abhiyan’ is based on people’s participation & called for making this initiative a Jan-Andolan to achieve improvement in key nutrition parameters.
LG said that society should collectively act to generate awareness & work with District Administration for well-being of mother & child.
