LG Manoj Sinha Interacts With 2025 Batch of IAS Officer Trainees

Lieutenant Governor shares insights on governance as trainees visit J&K under Winter Study Tour

Jammu, Dec 29: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday interacted with IAS Officer Trainees of the 2025 batch who are on a five-day visit to Jammu as part of the Winter Study Tour under the Bharat Darshan Programme.

The officer trainees are currently undergoing Phase-I training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie.

During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor shared his insights on governance, leadership and public service, while also highlighting the transformational journey of Jammu and Kashmir across key sectors, including infrastructure, development and public welfare.

The group of IAS officer trainees included Muskan Srivastava (Haryana cadre); Meghna Chakravorty and Mudita Bansal (West Bengal cadre); Deepak Godara (AGMUT cadre); Saichaitanya Jadhav, Rahul Raghavan and Aman Tiwari (Tamil Nadu cadre); and Venkatesh Banna (Andhra Pradesh cadre). The group is led by Umesh Kumar Meena (Rajasthan cadre), with Vidhi (AGMUT cadre) serving as the Associate Group Leader.

Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Dr Rakesh Minhas, was also present during the interaction.

As part of the Winter Study Tour, the programme includes visits to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, the Salal Hydroelectric Power Project, the SIDCO Industrial Area at Bari Brahmana, the India–Pakistan border, and a city tour of Jammu.

The visit aims to provide the officer trainees with first-hand exposure to the region’s administrative framework, developmental initiatives and cultural heritage, thereby enhancing their professional training and sensitising them to governance in diverse and challenging administrative environments.
