LG Manoj Sinha Interacts With Young Learners at Army Goodwill School
Operation Sadbhavana initiative fosters holistic development and national integration among border-area children
JAMMU, Mar 27: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday engaged with students from the Army Goodwill School (AGS), Saujiyan, Poonch, during their visit to Jammu as part of the J&K Integration Tour under Operation Sadbhavana.
Organised by the White Knight Corps, the tour aims to promote national integration and the overall development of children from remote border regions. The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the Indian Army’s sustained efforts in supporting youth welfare and highlighted the role of such initiatives in instilling the values of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.
The 33-member student contingent, accompanied by teachers and Army personnel, shared insights and personal experiences from the tour. The program is designed to broaden students’ understanding of India’s cultural, social, and institutional frameworks while boosting confidence and a sense of national belonging.
The itinerary covered Poonch, Rajouri, Jammu, and Srinagar, providing students with exposure to diverse environments and institutions. Many participants experienced new activities for the first time, including rail travel to Srinagar, visits to urban centers like shopping complexes and the Air Force Station in Jammu, and insight into Army life, significantly enhancing their outlook and self-assurance.
