Participants carried awareness banners and educational messages promoting healthy lifestyles and cautioning against the dangers associated with drug use.

Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Sinha stressed that defeating the drug menace requires a united effort involving government agencies, educational institutions, families, and local communities. He emphasized that awareness, prevention, and timely intervention are essential to protecting young people from falling into the trap of addiction.

The Lieutenant Governor called upon citizens to become active stakeholders in the campaign by identifying risks within their communities and supporting initiatives that promote education, sports, skill development, and social engagement among youth. He noted that public cooperation remains one of the most effective tools in tackling the issue at its roots.

The awareness drive forms part of a broader strategy being implemented across Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen anti-drug measures and encourage social responsibility.
