Lt Governor honours fallen soldiers Lance Havildar Palash Ghosh and Lance Naik Sujay Ghosh, vows nation will remain indebted to their sacrifice
Srinagar, Oct 11: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday laid a wreath and paid rich tributes to Army Bravehearts Lance Havildar Palash Ghosh and Lance Naik Sujay Ghosh, who laid down their lives while conducting counter-terror operations in the Kishtwar range of Kokernag under harsh weather conditions.
Expressing profound grief, the Lieutenant Governor said, “I salute the supreme sacrifice of our Army Bravehearts Lance Havildar Palash Ghosh and Lance Naik Sujay Ghosh. The nation shall remain forever grateful for their exemplary valour and selfless service.”
He added that the entire nation stands united with the families of the martyrs during this difficult time.
The two soldiers of the elite 5 PARA unit lost their lives while battling extreme weather during an anti-terror operation in the snowbound heights of South Kashmir’s Kokernag area earlier this week.
Their sacrifice, the LG said, will continue to inspire generations of Indians and strengthen the nation’s resolve to fight terrorism with determination and courage.
