Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha pays obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine
LG offers prayers at holy cave, seeks blessings for people of the Union Territory
KATRA, November 6: The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, paid obeisance at the sacred Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine on Wednesday. During his visit to the holy cave in the Trikuta Hills, he offered prayers to the Divine Mother and sought her blessings for the peace, prosperity, and collective well-being of the people of the Union Territory.
The Lieutenant Governor spent some time inside the sanctum sanctorum, performing traditional rituals and expressing gratitude for the progress and harmony witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir. He prayed for the continued peace, stability, and development of the Union Territory, while also invoking the divine grace of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi for the happiness and good health of every citizen.
Officials from the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board accompanied the Lieutenant Governor during the visit and briefed him on the ongoing arrangements for pilgrim facilitation, infrastructure development, and safety measures along the yatra route. They also informed him about recent improvements in the shrine’s facilities, including enhanced crowd management systems and amenities for devotees.
The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Shrine Board and the administration in ensuring a seamless and safe pilgrimage experience for devotees who visit the temple from across India and abroad. He reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening pilgrimage tourism in Jammu and Kashmir and highlighted that spiritual destinations such as Shri Mata Vaishno Devi are vital to the region’s cultural and economic growth.
