Smugglers Should be Arrested under PSA, Strict Action Should be Taken Against the Smugglers who Attacked youths in falae Mandal : Vikrant Kapoor
Jammu, April 5: Expressing deep concern over the increasing cases of bovine smuggling, State President of Hindustan Shiv Sena Vikrant Kapoor has demanded from the Lieutenant Governor that strict laws should be made to curb bovine smuggling. He said that the smugglers involved in these cases should be arrested under the Public Safety Act (PSA). He has also demanded strict action against bovine smugglers who attacked youths in Falae Mandal area of Jammu last day.
Expressing his views during a press conference in here today in Jammu, the state president of Hindustan Shiv Sena Vikrant Kapoor made this demand. He said that the incidents of cattle smuggling are increasing continuously in various areas of Jammu division including Kathua, Samba and Jammu district which is a matter of serious concern. He said that whenever our policemen arrest such smugglers and seize the vehicles involved in the bovine smuggling, they easily come out of jail on bail and their vehicles are also released due to lack of strict law in this matter.
Vikrant Kapoor said that this makes all the hard work of the policemen useless. That’s why the LG administration should make strict laws in this matter and there should be a provision to arrest those found involved in cattle smuggling under PSA. Apart from this, there should also be a provision for strict action against the smugglers who attack the local people while trying to thwart the efforts of animal smuggling. He also demanded that the vehicles seized involved in the bovine smuggling can not be released.
He warned that if stern action is not taken against the cattle smugglers who attacked the local youths in Falae Mandal, Hindustan Shiv Sena will protest strongly against it.
