Maha: Actor Tiger Shroff Escapes Unhurt After Three Unidentified Men Open Fire

Three rounds were allegedly fired at the actor’s luxury vehicle in Juhu. Mumbai Police have launched an investigation, examined CCTV footage and are verifying a social media post claiming responsibility for the attack.

MUMBAI, Oct 18: Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt after unidentified assailants allegedly opened fire at his luxury vehicle in the Pushpa area of suburban Juhu on Saturday evening, while his driver sustained injuries and was admitted to Nanavati Hospital, according to police.

The incident reportedly occurred between 7 pm and 7:30 pm when the actor was leaving a football ground. Three rounds were allegedly fired at the vehicle, triggering a police investigation.

The shooting took place within the jurisdiction of Juhu Police Station. Mumbai Police confirmed that Shroff had not suffered any gunshot injuries and said further investigation was underway.

“A firing incident has been reported under Juhu Police Station. Actor Tiger Shroff is safe and has not sustained any gunshot injuries. Further investigation is underway,” the police said in a statement.

Investigators are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, identify the attackers and determine their motive. Police have also collected CCTV footage from the area to trace the movements of the suspects and reconstruct the sequence of events.

Meanwhile, authorities are verifying the authenticity of a social media post attributed to overseas gangsters Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, who have allegedly claimed responsibility for the firing.

The post reportedly accused Shroff of ignoring earlier messages warning him against working with actor Salman Khan. Police have not yet established the authenticity of the claim or confirmed whether it is connected to the shooting.

The incident has also triggered a political reaction, with Congress leader Sachin Sawant criticising the Maharashtra government over the state of law and order in Mumbai.

Calling the shooting alarming, Sawant referred to previous incidents involving the killing of politician Baba Siddique, firing outside Salman Khan’s residence and alleged threats against film producers.

“This is really very scary. There has never been such a breakdown of law and order in Mumbai before, but it has happened now under the Mahayuti government,” Sawant said.

He further alleged that the city’s reputation as one of the country’s safest urban centres was being undermined by repeated incidents of violence and threats.

Sawant accused the state government of failing to maintain law and order and condemned the attack.

Police are continuing their investigation, with the examination of CCTV footage and verification of the alleged social media claim expected to help establish the identities of those involved and the motive behind the incident.
